This scene is a time sequence and vision by the artists. The
street where the brick row homes are placed was in Camden NJ.
Behind these homes you could see the Delaware River and Philadelphia
skyline. The river scene on the lower section of the painting is that view of the
city across the river. Within 4 years after the creation of the painting
the brick row homes were torn down and the only thing you can see now is
the Delaware River and the Philadelphia Pennsylvania skyline. More
